"Impacting Childrens Lives through Golf"

Welcome to Jim Ager Memorial G.C.

Built in the mid 60's, the Jim Ager Memorial G.C. is one the finest courses of its kind in the country. Winning Golf Digests award for the "Best Jr Golf Program" in the municipal category shows how much we value tomorrows future golfers and beginners of all ages. The course measures 1224 yards with the holes ranging from 104 to 175 yards. Everyone is Welcome

Jim Ager Memorial is for Everybody

Although we certainly cater to the junior golfer, we are here for everyone. As I was growing up playing the Ager course - we didn't call it the Jim Ager Memorial, we called it the "Junior Course" and today many people still call it by that name, it still fits. Every year though several people ask me if adults are allowed to play at the Ager? The answer of course is yes they are, everyone is welcome here. We don't care what your age is or what your skill level is, everyone is welcome here at the Jim Ager Memorial. We have everyone from a PGA Professional to a 7 year old who has never played the game before.

The fact is that while we love our junior golfers and they make up half the rounds played here, they are only out of school each summer for about 3 months, and the course is open for 9 months, so we would love to get more of you adults down here. In fact we are going to have our first adult golf league here this year - a senior ladies group, and we want everyone to know there are plenty of open spaces for more adult golf here.

Just give us a call if you want to talk about forming a league or event, the Ager is a great place whether your a kid or a senior.

Sticks For Kids

Sticks for kids is a program that originated right here at the Ager golf course and has now spread to thousands of sites all around the world! Each year we take around 100 children who without this program would probably not have the opportunity to be exposed to the game of golf. Local PGA Professionals and amateur volunteers get together and put on a 3 day golf program for these children.

Fall League Comes to an End

Today was the final round of official Fall League Play. That's the bad news, the good news is that next week we are going to have a "Fun Day Event" for the golfers who want to keep playing on these wonderful Fall Saturday Mornings. The event next week will be a 3 person scramble event with some great prizes for the kids. There is no entry fee, the kids will just have to pay a green fee if they don't have a membership.

The following week, we will get together at 10:00 a.m. and we'll have a few fun skills contests for the golfers and then we will have Pizza delivered for lunch and have prizes for the League Winners!

New Photos!

This summer we were lucky enough to gain a new player and her father turns out to be one heck of a photographer. He has taken loads of photos for us here at the Ager and it's about time we share some of them so we are littering the site with some fresh pics today - Thanks Kevin. As soon as we get around to it he has also made us some poster size prints which we are planning on filling the walls with here in the clubhouse.

Ager Players in the Boy's City

Several of our own players performed extremely well in this years Boy's City Golf Championship!

Ryan Van Ostrand won the 2nd Flight and Jason Kolbas finished 4th. Russ Gibson played his way to a 7th place and Jack Christensen finished in 8th.

Out of 31 players in the field, 21 of them have come through our programs, and many of them finished "In the Money", we can't tell you how much that means. Great job everyone!
